Do You Know the Difference Between OLED Screen and LCD Screen?

The current mobile phone screens are diverse and display effects are different, but in the final analysis their screen materials are nothing more than LCD and OLED. So what is the difference between these two materials? Which screen is better?

LCD uses metal materials, while OLED uses organic materials. The light-emitting principle of the two is the same, but the difference is that OLED does not need a backlight, it emits light by itself, and does not require a separate backlight or color filter. Each OLED pixel can be assigned three colors of red, green, and blue. Now the Sinocrystal lcd display manufacturer has also added yellow, but the principles of OLED and LCD are the same.

The LCD needs to be illuminated by a backlight to display. A variety of different colors are created based on the white light passing through the color filter. The white light will form basic colors such as red, green and blue after passing through, and the light passing rate of each pixel is controlled by current to control the pixel s color.

In the LCD display, it is very difficult to completely block the white light and display black. There will always be more or less light leakage. This is why it is impossible to display true black on most night scene displays. reason. And OLED is different, when OLED displays black, it can be directly

LCD Due to the existence of the backlight layer and the liquid crystal layer, the LCD is much thicker than the OLED, and it is impossible to bend greatly. OLED works independently because the pixels should be bright, dark, dark, and off, no matter what color the LCD displays, the backlight is fully turned on, so OLED can greatly reduce the number of times the screen is turned on, which indirectly saves power. And the OLED screen has almost no delay, and the LCD screen, even if it is Apple’s top LCD, the smear is still smear.
